Copy your data

Copy anything in your teamspace Drive, such as a Studio's files, your uploads, or what your jobs wrote, to your own machine from the terminal.

Before you begin

• Python 3 and pip on the machine you are copying to.
• The names of your organization and teamspace.

Copy your data

1. Install or update the Lightning CLI:

   Copy

   pip install -U lightning-sdk

2. Sign in. A browser window opens on the Lightning AI login page; sign in there, then return to the terminal.

   Copy

   lightning login

3. Copy a folder to your machine:

   Copy

   lightning cp -r lit://<org>/<teamspace>/studios/<studio-name> ./dest

   Replace <org> and <teamspace> with your organization and teamspace names, and <studio-name> with the Studio to copy. To copy a single file, leave out -r. To see what's in your teamspace first, run lightning ls lit://<org>/<teamspace>/.
