# Install {#install}

Fabric is part of the [Lightning](https://lightning.ai) package. Here is how you get it!

**Pip users**

```bash
pip install lightning
```

**Conda users**

```bash
conda install lightning -c conda-forge
```

If you don't already have it, this command will also install the latest [stable PyTorch version](https://pytorch.org/).

You can find the list of supported PyTorch versions in our [compatibility matrix](/docs/fabric/2.6.6/versioning.md#compatibility-matrix).

## Next steps {#next-steps}
